Clinton Public School Foundation celebrates excellence in education ad since 2015, our Board of Trustees has proudly recognized an individual each year who has made a significant commitment to serving Clinton schools.
This award honors those who have dedicated their time and talents to enriching the lives
of students and teachers within our community.
In 2020, we were honored to add the name of "Goldie Pettle" to this prestigious award,
paying tribute to Mrs. Pettle’s remarkable legacy.
​Her years of teaching in Clinton Public Schools and her generous bequest continue
​to impact our students and educators profoundly.

We are thrilled to announce that Terry Garner has been awarded the
2024 Goldie Pettle Contribution to Education Award!
As the president of Interbank in Clinton, Terry has demonstrated unwavering support for our local schools, making a profound impact on both students and teachers. Terry has been a dedicated advocate for Eastside Academy, where his efforts have led to the acquisition of 25 desktop computers
and a generous $12,000 donation to enhance their reading program.
His commitment to education extends to Clinton High School as well, where he has actively participated in several booster clubs. Notably, Terry played a crucial role in improving the high school baseball field, contributing to the construction of the Clinton Baseball monument
and providing the scoreboard for the field.
Additionally, Terry served on the Clinton Public School Foundation from 2006 to 2012,
​further solidifying his dedication to the advancement of education in our community.
