SCHOLARSHIP Opportunities for Graduating Seniors and Alumni
The Clinton Public School Foundation manages many scholarships that have been established by donors according to their specific preferences for Clinton High School graduating seniors and alumni. In 2022, $78,600 was awarded.
Selection criteria varies for each scholarship.

Scholarship Applications are open January 11 - March 26, 2023
Applications may only be submitted online.
The Smith Leadership ScholarshipThe Smith Leadership Scholarship was established in 2018 by Karen and Martin Smith to recognize a student who has demonstrated remarkable leadership ability throughout high school.

The George H. And Louis La Rue Powers ScholarshipThis scholarship, first awarded in 2019, is made possible from the estate of the late George Powers. Applicants with extensive volunteer work are encouraged to apply.

The Kent Powell Memorial Scholarship
The Powell scholarship was first awarded in 2017. The scholarship is funded by memorial donations in honor of Kent Powell.

Brickner Memorial Scholarship and Dr. Al Harris Memorial Scholarship
These scholarships were established by CHS alumnus Robert Brickner (1952) in 1990 to honor his parents, and his good friend Dr. All Harris. Since 1990, Mr. Brickner has donated over $70,000 to help CHS graduates in need attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

K.B. Cornell, Jr. & Elise Cornell Scholarship
Clinton attorney Patrick Cornell and family established this scholarship in honor of his father and aunt in 2005. "We just wanted to offer a little help to a CHS graduate, and are thankfully in a place where we can," said Cornell.

Neparko Family Scholarship
Dr. Edward Neparko and his family established this scholarship in 2012 for a student attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University and majoring in the sciences.

Davis-McElmurry Trust ScholarshipsThe Davis-McElmurry Trust Scholarships are made possible by a trust established by a former Clinton Public Schools teacher. These are multiple, substantial awards available to graduating seniors and alumni for up to four years of college. Financial need is considered, but not the only determining factor.

Oscar Torres Memorial ScholarshipDr. Edward Neparko and his family established this scholarship in 2012 for a student attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University and majoring in the sciences.

Judy Sights Memorial ScholarshipThe scholarship will be awarded for the first time in 2021. The Sights Family will award one scholarship to a well-rounded student. The award can be used at any Oklahoma public or private university,

Clinton Band Alumni ScholarshipFunded by Samantha Aispuro and former Clinton Band Alumni. This award can go to any CHS student who has participated in band throughout high school. Public donations are accepted for this fund.

Bridge ScholarshipThe Bridge scholarship is for Clinton High School alumni who have completed at least 24 college credit hours and are not receiving state or federal financial aid. Public donations are accepted for this fund.
