There are different ways to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Clinton Public School Foundation:
1. A CONTRIBUTION DIRECTLY TO THE ENDOWMENT: memorial gifts, other honoraria, donations to the Wall of Tradition, and any non-specific contributions are placed directly into the endowment fund, and the foundation spends only the interest earned from these gifts.
2. A DESIGNATED CONTRIBUTION: any contribution, including memorials, can be designated by a donor for a specific purpose if approved by the Board of Trustees. For example, one could establish a scholarship, or specify that an amount be used for grants in a specific subject matter, or earmark a contribution for foundation operating expenses.
3. A MEMBERSHIP CONTRIBUTION: a $25 membership donation affords the donor voting privileges at the CPSF annual meeting to elect new Board of Trustees members and officers, and all membership donations are earmarked for operating expenses to fund such projects as the website, the newsletter, and the Teacher Welcome Breakfast. Memberships allow CPSF greater flexibility, so more of the endowment earnings are available for teacher grants and scholar recognition.
