TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARDS
Thanks to a generous contribution from the M.T. and Helen Gholston Charitable Trust, the Clinton Public School Foundation was again able to give the Gholston Teacher Awards to the five 2010-2011 Clinton Public School Teacher of the Year finalists. Initiated in 2006, the Gholston Teacher Awards provide a $1,000 honorarium to the finalists from each school site: Leadell Baca of Nance Elementary, Laci Thomas of Southwest Elementary, Jeff King of Washington Elementary, Kathy Rader of Clinton Middle School, and Phil Veazey of Clinton High School. Baca also received an additional $5,000 for being named the district’s Teacher of the Year, plus a $500 classroom grant from CPSF.
