Welcome to the website of the Clinton Public School Foundation. Our local education foundation was established in 1986, one of the first ten in the state of Oklahoma. Our mission is to "advance excellence in Clinton Public Schools." To this end, an endowment has been created, the earnings of which are primarily used to award Teacher Grants for educational projects that enrich and enhance the existing curriculum. CPSF is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, so contributions are 100% tax-deductible. Because the foundation spends only the earnings from the endowment, contributions benefit Clinton students forever.

In addition to the Teacher Grant Program, the Clinton Public School Foundation recognizes academic achievement at Clinton High School and Clinton Middle School. The foundation sponsors Top 10 Day for the top ten percent of CHS students in each grade. This student-designed event includes a cookout at Acme Brick Park, along with games and prizes. In addition, the foundation hosts the Clinton Middle School Honor Roll Breakfast, which recognizes students with all A's and B's in 7th and 8th grades.

The Clinton Public School Foundation also acts as a steward for named and memorial scholarships. For example, CHS graduate Robert Brickner (1952) established the John & Lorraine Brickner Memorial Scholarship in 1991 to honor his parents, and since that time has donated over $50,000.00 to help Clinton High School graduates attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
|
The Clinton Public School Foundation also makes it a point to recognize the dedication of our Clinton Public School teachers. The foundation hosts a Welcome Breakfast for the teachers' first day of work in August, and donates $500.00 to the Clinton Public Schools Teacher of the Year for classroom use.
